Digital photography is a great revolution that brings a new dimension to photography, but also some requirements for obtaining best quality – one of these is sharpening. The process of sampling an image to create a digital photo selects the level of detail in the image. Naturally, the sampling rate or number of pixels is the first determination of detail, but how do we make the most of what we image? One of the factors is sharpening, which is the process of enhancing the micro contrast in the smallest details to get out the most the image has to offer. This presentation will go through some of the basics and present a few advanced techniques for sharpening your images. (Click on the image to open the presentation).
